Instruction to Candidates

  1. Candidates must go through the detailed advertisement about name of post, post code, qualification, experience, age, relaxation, etc., available on the Institute website, before submission of the online application.
  2. Applicants should fill & submit separate online applications for each post code, if they wish to apply for more than one post, on or before the last date prescribed for receipt of online application.
  3. The following documents/information are required for filling up of online application:
    (a) Scanned colour Pass Port size photograph < 50 kb to be uploaded while filling online form
    (b) Another colour photo to be affixed on the print out of hard copy of application
    (c) Scanned signature < 50 kb to be uploadeded.
    (d) SB Collect Reference No., ___ Dt. ______ Amount_Rs.100/- (if applicable)
    (e) Certificates and mark-sheets of all examinations passed

    (Self attested copies of certificates pertaining to HSC/10th /ITI, Apprenticeship Training, Experience, Category/Community/PWD) as applicable, are to be attached with the hard copy of application).

  4. Candidates must give details of educational qualifications starting from 10th standard/HSC/SSC onwards, name of Board/University/Institute, total mark, marks secured, percentage of marks, subjects taken, etc. While filling up of online application form candidates should use short form in columns for Board/University/subjects.
  5. Applicants claiming any relaxation must enclose the relevant certificate otherwise they will not be considered for any relaxation and their application will be regulated as per rules.
  6. Candidates should clearly mention whether they possess the required relevant experience after the date of acquiring of the essential qualification with detailed duration duly supported by experience certificate without which their candidature shall not be considered. Candidates are advised not to mention any experience which is obtained prior to the acquiring of the essential qualification.
  7. Application fee is non-refundable. Fee once paid shall not be refunded nor adjusted against any other post under any circumstance.
  8. After submission of online application, forward the hard copy duly signed along with details of application fee paid, affixing one passport size colour photograph on the print out of hard copy application along with other self-attested copies of certificates/mark-sheets, documents which should reach CSIR-IMMT on or before the last date prescribed for receipt of hard copy application failing which their candidature shall be rejected.
  9. Candidates are advised to keep a few identical copies of the colour passport photographs which they may be required to produce later.
  10. Applicants serving in Govt., Autonomous Bodies, PSUs must submit NOC at the time of test/interview, if the ‘through proper channel copy’ is not received, failing which they will not be allowed to attend Trade/Skill Test/Written Test etc.
  11. Call letters will be despatched to the candidates at the correspondence address as given in their application. Therefore, candidates should ensure that they intimate change of their correspondence address immediately as no request for issue of duplicate call letter, intimation by any other means shall be entertained under any circumstances
  12. Any corrigendum, addendum, details of shortlisting, schedule of interview, change in the schedule of interview, decision to cancel the advertisement fully or partly, shall only be notified on the Institute website. Therefore, applicants are advised to regularly keep on visiting the CSIR-IMMT website for latest up-dates.
  13. Candidates may note that after submission of online application, they must take a print out of the submitted online application and sign on it, affix a colour photo in the space provided, sign across the photograph, attach self-attested copies of certificates & marksheets of HSC, ITI, Apprenticeship, experience, aadhaar card, any other relevant documents and send the same by post.
